7th April 2010
We’ve just returned from the 4th annual Motorhome Expo, which was held in Hamilton from 11 to 14 March at the newly redeveloped Claudelands Convention and Exhibition Centre.
There was a great buzz at this year’s expo, which organizers said was bigger than last year. We enjoyed seeing a lot of our old friends as well as making lots of new friends. We kicked off a very positive opening day with the sale of one of our freshly redesigned Basecamp models. Foot traffic and interest in our stands was really high and the feedback we received was incredibly positive.
Other than having pride of place in the new exhibition hall, with what we think was an impressive stand display, we had some star attractions that even saw our competitors dropping by for a wee nosey and a chat.
We’re talking about our new Landmark Coromandel 820, which made its debut, as well as our new high-end Trail-lite caravans.
Seeing the huge interest in our Landmark Coromandel 820 was heartening. This top of the range model features a lot of the things we’re famous for, like huge batteries, excellent water storage (600L fresh water in this model) and a luxurious one-off interior by our interior designer, Victoria Scott. But what the Landmark Coromandel 820 has in addition is an amazing sense of space created by the new slide-out lounge/dining room.
When you step inside it’s incredible what an impressive difference the slide-out makes to your living space. People were simply blown away by the extra space. Even we are still a little in awe of this fine addition to our Landmark family. With two TVs, full en-suite bath-room, a pullout BBQ and many handy accessories, it is definitely worth closer inspection. Speaking of which, look out for its reviews in all leading motorhome magazines soon.
We also featured our 7.2m Landmark Oakura, which is built on a Iveco Daily base vehicle for improved comfort and handling. With an island rear bed, ensuite bath-room and swivel seats that extend the lounge it was a talking point with many of our visitors.
If you missed seeing us in Hamilton, you can see us there again, but this time at Feildays, Mystery Creek, from 16 to 19 June 2010.
